Open House Hobart 2015

Back in Hobart, Architecture Week's key event is the Open House Hobart
weekend stickybeak on 7-8 November.
This year's program sees more than 40 buildings open to the public, with a few favourites and some new doors unlocked in an expanded two-day event.

On Saturday 7 November you can catch a ride up the TasPorts tower, step back in time at St John's in New Town and explore the concrete tunnel underneath the new Brooke Street Pier. There are more architect-designed homes this year, and the roof of Colonial Mutual Life, with its gargoyles, multi-coloured tiles and incredible views of Sullivans Cove, is reopening along with the unique Royal
Tennis Club, Esmond Dorney's Porter Hill House and the Supreme Court.

All Domain properties – Government House, Domain House, Beaumaris Zoo, Gunpowder Magazine
and Wombat One at the Royal Botanic Gardens – are open Sunday 8 November.

Public events occur every day of the following week, and include pecha kuchas exploring the 2015 Tasmanian Architecture Awards and the essence of Tasmanian architecture. Visit the Open House Hobart website for more info including prizes for using the hashtag #oh_hobart.
